Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee

Krün, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany

The task: The complete interior design of four flats on the grounds of the Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee. After just four months, the flats were made available for rent in summer 2021.

In 1953, the Alpen-Caravanpark at Lake Tennsee in Bavaria was founded as a campsite with amenities modern at that period of time. In the course of its history, the enthusiasm of the guests for the site has never waned. The Zick family - the third generation of the family is running the caravan park now - has always ensured the site to meet the increasing expectations of its guests.

Today, this also means that in addition motorhomes of all sizes, the offer includes rental flats for guests who do not own a motorhome or prefer private living or value more convenienc. Now they can also participate in the life of a caravan park.

The first rental flats were very well received, so in spring 2021 an additonal four flats were constructed. The Zick family entrusted the interior design to Martin Paschek from Raumkunst Werdenfels in Krün. Project manager Bastian Tietz tells us more.

What was the inspiration or idea behind the design of the flats?

"It was clear from the beginning that we wanted the interior design and especially the choice of materials in the flats to reflect our roots in the region," Bastian Tietz about the interior design concept. "People come to the Alps and should feel this special atmosphere in their holiday home."

Why did you choose fabrics from fine for this project?

Old wood and lots of fabrics - it is these two elements that essentially dominate and create the ambience of the flats. "fine offers just the right mixture of styles. They have fabrics that truly stand out, like the one fabric with stylised mountain peaks that we used for headboards" Bastian Tietz explains the central point for the creative concept. "From this central fabric we have started to build up a world of style with interestingly structured, reduced or finely patterned fabrics."

Modern and traditional elements mix naturally in the interior design of the flats and thus correspond to the contemporary lifestyle of people living in the mountains.

How did you find fine, and what do you like about fine?

"A new colleague has introduced fine to our company, and you can say: It was love at first sight. We are able to work very well with fine's fabric collections, the quality and service are excellent," says Bastian Tietz. Well, thanks a lot for that! And thank you for being an inspiring and loyal client!
